If you've picked up the Season 5 DVD set and would like to share your thoughts, post them here or go to our message board (linked to the right) and give us your report! If you haven't picked it up yet and need a Season 5 fix, it is available from Netflix's online streaming service, which allows you to watch on a laptop or Xbox 360.
"The Hurt Locker" is coming to DVD January 12th in both standard and Blu-ray versions. Evangeline Lilly has a supporting role in the film, that received wide critical acclaim but was criticized by many Iraq War veterans. I never saw the film, but word is Lilly's pretty good in it. You can decide for yourself this January.

J.J. Abrams is getting behind the camera for TV again, for the first time since he directed an episode of "The Office" a few seasons back. He is directing the pilot for "Undercovers," a drama about two married spies, for NBC. Abrams also directed pilots for "Alias" and "Lost" as well as the HBO drama "Anatomy of Hope." No air date has been announced.

Dominic Monaghan and Marsha Thomason are finally getting their turns being back on TV. Dom, of course, gets his turn to add to the mystery of "Flash Forward" Thursday night on ABC, and Marsha Thomason (Naomi) is joining the cast of "General Hospital." According to SoapNet, her as-of-yet unnamed character will appear opposite James Franco when he joins the cast in November.
Here is a link to order the very cool Season 5 Dharma Initiation Kit on Blu-Ray DVD. Not only does it feature Season 5 of Lost in hi-def, it includes all kinds of Dharma materials, including an "initiation" box, folder, and paperwork. There's a VHS tape of the instructional videos used in the show, and the DVDs all come in "floppy disc" style slip covers. The goodie-filled set also comes in a regular DVD version (see below) and hits the same day as the regular DVD sets, on December 8.
Put this in the "What the?" file. In a recent interview, Evangeline Lilly said people should do their part to save the earth by not having babies. Instead, they should try adopting and not add to overpopulation. Now, I support adoption and feel more people should use it, but who is NOT going have a baby because they think it might be the kid that breaks Mama Earth's back? Of course, Lilly says she would like to have one kid of her own and then adopt others. Hey! Why does she get to have a kid!?! Has she spent too much time in the Hawaii sun?

There's a good chance most Locke fans haven't seen Terry O'Quinn in the 80's thriller "The Stepfather." If you're not a fan of horror films, then stay away. They are rated "R" and will probably freak you out when you watch the next episode of Lost. With the new version of "The Stepfather" in theaters now, however, I thought some might want to revisit the original, superior version.

J.J.'s reboot of "Star Trek" has officially ended its theatrical run as the most successful film in the series. With a gross of $385 million worldwide, it surpassed the earnings of all other "Trek" movies, even when the numbers are adjusted for inflation. The movie hits DVD in November.

Thanks to comedian Paul Scheer, we now know the first episode of the final season will be titled "LA X." Scheer and his website, Damon, Carlton, and A Polar Bear.com are part of a viral campaign to leak info. An interesting tidbit you should look for on the site: E. Sau. Also below is a video from Comic Con of Paul and THE PAINTING.

E! Online has done a pretty good job of compiling all the Lost news that came out of Comic Con's Lost panel and press interviews. You'll find out how Sawyer is doing, whether Charlie is coming back, if any other dead folks are coming back, and whether we have seen the last of time travel and flash forwards. Click here to visit the E! Online article.

Elizabeth Mitchell, whom we last saw getting nuked on the finale of Lost, is spilling about her new gig, playing a federal agent fighting aliens on the NBC series "V," a reboot of the 80's miniseries. In a recent interview, she revealed that her character is torn between her duty to stop the Visitors, and saving her son, who loves the Visitors. Her partner on the show is played by "Serenity" alum Alan Tudyk.
Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have both confirmed that Elizabeth will appear on Lost this season, but everyone is mum about the context. Will Juliet live via the timeline being "reset," or will she live on only in flashbacks? Elizabeth says filming on the two series will not affect the other, but she did say her character will appear "pretty immediately," and that her fate will be "satisfactory." We will find out soon enough if Juliet and Sawyer get a happy ending.

ABC.com has just launched a new web series called "Mysteries of the Universe: The Dharma Initiative," a fictional documentary that they claim "has never been seen before, until now." The episode release dates are as follows (note the use of the "numbers"): Episode 1 - 7/23/09, Episode 2 - 8/4/09, Episode 3 - 9/8/09, Episode 4 - 10/15/09, and Episode 5 - 11/16/09. No word if these will be on the DVD set later this year, but one would assume so. To watch the series, CLICK HERE.

Well, those McFarlane Lost figures were cool (not counting Shannon), but man did they take up space. Now, Biff Bang Pow Toys has the Lost license, and they are making a new series of figures. Details are sketchy right now, but we do know that they will feature articulation, and not be little statues like the McFarlanes. Figures will come in two packs and the first characters coming in November are Jack and Kate (packaged together) and Sawyer and Juliet (packaged together). They will sell for about $30 a pair. More info as this develops, but I think we'll see some pics of these at Comic Con. However, you can order these figures from Entertainment Earth. Click HERE to place your pre-order now!
This very cool Ben Linus bobble head will be available exclusively at the San Diego Comic Con at the end of the month. Only 1008 will be made and you cannot order one ahead of time. If you aren't going, you'll have to wait to grab one on eBay. Click on the pic for a larger version.

Since we're moving all of our stuff over from the old site, I thought I should repost a few of the cooler images here to archive them. Here is a promotional piece produced by ABC to promote Season 3. It was probably used as a magazine ad and a studio poster (which are pretty rare and hung usually at ABC affiliate stations). The only posters I could find were unauthorized reprints. Either way, it's a great image.

While nothing has been confirmed, Maggie Grace has said in an interview that she is going to Hawaii for a project, hinting heavily that she may be returning to Lost for the final season. This comes as Dominic Monaghan has appeared in an ABC commercial, hinting that he may be bringing Charlie back next season as well. Ausellio over at Entertainment Weekly claims that Monaghan is actually appearing on another ABC show, and the promo is just to get people talking. However, there are rumors that Charlie could return. A lot will depend on how the finale will affect the storyline (whether everthing is reset), and word from the set is pretty scarce so far.
We are moving FindingLost's old site over to this blog format, so bear with us as we bring things back in.
